What is Vedic Math?
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras and some Sub Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution.

Vedic Mathematics or one or two line methods can be used effectively for solving multiplication, divisions, reciprocals, factorization, squares and square roots, cubes and cube roots, algebraic equations, multiple simultaneous equations, quadratic equations, cubic equations, differential calculus, Partial fractions, Integrations, Pythagoras theorem, and so on.

"Vedic Mathematics" is a system of reasoning and mathematical working based on ancient Indian teachings called Veda. It is fast, efficient and easy to learn and use. Vedic mathematics, which simplifies arithmetic and algebraic operations, has increasingly found acceptance the world over.

Experts suggest that it could be a handy tool for those who need to solve mathematical problems faster by the day. Vedic Mathematics provides answer in one line where as conventional method requires several steps. It is an ancient technique, which simplifies multiplication, divisibility, complex numbers, squaring, cubing, square and cube roots. Even recurring decimals and auxiliary fractions can be handled by Vedic Mathematics.

Benefits

  • Time Saving
  • Reduced Burden
  • Increased Concentration
  • Reduces the scratch work and finger counting.
  • Provide one line answer
  • More confident
  • Focus on other subjects
  • It helps in reducing silly mistakes

Course Structure :- Vedic Math course is easy to join and it does not disturb the regular studies of the child. The classes are only on Sundays just for 1.30 hours.

Recommended Age:- 10 years to 15 Years. (Class 6th to 10th)

Total Levels :- 3

Time :- Once a week class for 1 hrs 30 minutes with 10 minutes homework.

Scope of Vedic Math :- Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fraction, Percentage, squaring, cubing, square and cube roots etc.

Examples of some instant calculations done through vedic math:-

Converting kilos to pound :-

Converting Kilos to pounds e.g. 72
Step 1 – Multiply kilos to 2 i.e. 72 * 2 = 144
Step 2 – Divide the answer by 10 i. e. = 144/10 = 14.4
Step 3 – Add the answers of Step 1 & 2 = 144 + 14.4 = 158.4 Pounds
So answer is 72 Kilos is equal to 158.4 Pounds.

Square of no. ending with 5

Multiply 2 digit numbers
Apply Sutra (Ekādhikena Pūrvena) By one more than the one before – e.g. Square of 85 or 85 * 85 = ?
Step 1 = 5 * 5 = 25
Step 2 = First no. is 8 so add 1 into it. Its 9, so multiply 8 by 9. 8 * 9 = 72
So last two digits are 25 & first two digits are 72 and Answer is 7225.

Example: Multiply any number by 11

Example is 625436 * 11 =
In this last digit will remain the same which is 6
Add next number in the previous number like
625436 = (0+6)(6+2)(2+5)(5+4)(4+3)(3+6) 6
So the answer is = 6879796
